The Ministry of Health has called on all citizens and expatriates who wish to perform umrah [the lesser pilgrimage, year round] or hajj [the major pilgrimage, the next scheduled for March 2001] to ensure that they are properly vaccinated against meningitis.

Meanwhile, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz yesterday signed the design contract for an expansion of the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah that will increase its capacity to 21 million passengers annually.
