Lebanese President on visit to Kingdom

President Emile Lahoud of Lebanon left Jeddah today after an official visit to the Kingdom, during which he was received by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz. Commenting on the visit, Minister of Commerce Osama Faqih noted the distinguished commercial relations that exist between the two countries, and referred to his talks with various Lebanese ministers in the President's accompanying delegation as important in the economic sphere. He observed that the volume of trade between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia amounted to over SR 700 million [U.S. $ 186.67 million] in 1999, with a total of 125 joint investment projects.
