The Consultative Council (Majlis Al-Shura) today approved the issuance of computerized passports as proposed by the Supreme Council of the member states of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). In charge of the electronically-readable passports will be the information center at the Ministry of Interior. The Ministry of Finance and National Economy will extend the required financial allocations for implementation of the project.
