The composition was announced today of the committee for negotiating with foreign investors in the area of oil and gas. The members are as follows: Dr. Fahd Al-Mubarak, of the Consultative Council (Majlis Al-Shura); Mohammed Bin Suleiman Al-Jasser, Deputy Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA); Dr. Sadad Al-Husseini, Vice President of Saudi Aramco; Mohammed Yousef Rafee, Vice President of Saudi Aramco, member with responsibility for technical affairs; Dr. Saud Bin Abdullah Al-Ammari, legal advisor at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, member with responsibility for legal affairs; and Dr. Abdel-Rahman Bin Salih Al-Suheibani, legal advisor at the Royal Court, member with responsibility for liaison between the international petroleum companies and the relevant government authorities. The Committee's Chairman, Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, will supervise the negotiations, convey to the Committee the directives of the Supreme Council for Petroleum and Minerals, and brief the Council on the Committee's progress. Prince Saud Al-Faisal will also sign contracts with financial, legal and technical advisors to assist the committee.
