Information minister addresses Arab conference in Cairo

Addressing the 33rd conference of ministers of information from members of the League of Arab States in Cairo today, Information Minister Dr. Fouad Al-Farsi stressed the importance of learning lessons from the past, and taking the necessary measures to confront the challenges of the future. Dr. Al-Farsi referred to the issues of globalization, the World Trade Organization (WTO), intellectual copyright, data systems, and telecommunications networks, and warned against immoral attitudes caused by racial fanaticism, dual standards, terrorism, and extremism, as well as the western view of human rights. These, he said, block human progress, and called for guidance for human society away from the path of injustice and darkness.
