King Faisal Prize (1421) for Service to Islam

The 1421 King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam has been awarded to the Kingdom's Higher Commission for the Collection of Donations for Bosnia-Herzegovina. This was announced by Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz on Wednesday evening at a press conference following the meeting of the committee charged with choosing the winner.

Governor of Riyadh Province Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, who is the Commission's Chairman, expressed his pride in the honor at a press conference yesterday, stressing that the relief efforts of the Commission are in line with the Saudi leadership's concern for Muslim causes everywhere. He took the opportunity to include in his thanks, the Saudi people who did not hesitate to come forward in great numbers to donate to their brothers in Bosnia-Herzegovina, ensuring success for the relief programs.
