Plan for unemployed training institute

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is planning to set up in Riyadh in September 2001 a training institute that will offer courses tailored to meet the needs of unemployed Saudis. The short-term intensive training will equip them to find jobs in factories in the private sector, and includes computer skills and English language. The Ministry is also encouraging the private sector to open recruitment agencies, staffed by nationals.
