Crown Prince Abdullah to visit the Americas

Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz will

shortly start a tour of the Americas. He will head for New York next Saturday to attend the millennium

celebrations of the United Nations on September 5, 2000, where he will deliver the Kingdom's speech on

the occasion.

Crown Prince Abdullah will then pay official visits to Brazil and Argentine, before proceeding to Venezuela,

where he will head the Kingdom's delegation at the Second Summit of member states of the Organization

of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
The Crown Prince will hold talks with the leaders of these countries, focusing on bilateral relations and

ways of boosting cooperation as well as international issues of common interest in various fields. The tour

comes as part of the concern of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin

Abdulaziz to strengthen relations with various countries and its constant efforts to serve the issues of

international security and peace.
