In accordance with Royal Decree number 8328 of October 10, 2000, Governor of Riyadh Province Prince

Salman bin Abdulaziz has formed a committee to supervise collection of donations in support of

Palestinian victims of Israeli aggression. Launching a similar campaign yesterday, Governor of Makkah

Province Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz declared that Saudi Arabia has always supported the

Palestinian cause.

Meanwhile, two Medevac planes left today for Jordan to airlift eleven more injured Palestinians and their

companions to the Armed Forces Hospital in Riyadh, and the Palestinian Authority has received 30 tons of

Saudi-made medicines, the first batch in the program. Also to be provided, by order of Custodian of the

Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz, are 20 ambulances.
Minister of Health Dr. Osama bin Abdulmajeed Shobokshi yesterday visited the Riyadh Medical Center to

check on the condition of a number of Palestinian patients undergoing treatment there, and awarded them

the King Abdulaziz Medal of Merit (third class).
