Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz received two telephone calls yesterday from

Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, who briefed him on developments in light of the aggression launched

by Israel, and on the extent of the damage to the Palestinian land and people resulting from these unjust

attacks by land, sea, and air. King Fahd expressed deep regret for these happenings, which, he said,

undermine the peace process in the region and violate all international conventions and all humanitarian

norms. King Fahd went on to reiterate the Kingdom's constant support of the Palestinian people in their

struggle to gain their legitimate rights and establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
