Prince Sultan leaves China, arrives in South Korea

Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General Prince Sultan bin

Abdulaziz arrived in Seoul today for a three-day state visit to South Korea. He was received by President of

South Korea Kim Dae-Jung, whom he congratulated on his recently being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Prior to his departure from China, Prince Sultan paid a visit yesterday to the City of Shanghai, following

which he declared that his meetings with the President of China, the Speaker of the House of Deputies, the

Minister of Defense and other senior Chinese officials, had been based on the fruitful cooperation in

economic, technological and cultural fields that exists between the two countries. A joint communiqué was

issued today.
