New desalination plants being built

Governor of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) Dr. Fahad Balgunem has reported that work is proceeding on the construction of three new desalination plants, at Al-Khobar, Jubail, and Al-Shoayba, together with five delivery systems.  When the project is completed, the total length of water pipelines will be around 2,000 miles, served by 29 pumping stations. At the moment, there are 27 desalination plants, producing 572 million gallons a day. In addition to the three new plants, SWCC is considering the feasibility of 20 more.
