Museum on Holy Mosques Planned in Makkah

Plans were announced today by the General Presidency for Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque for a museum on the architecture of the Two Holy Mosques. The museum will be built near the factory that produces the kiswa (the covering for the Holy Ka'abah), and will portray the historic development of the mosques' architecture, the efforts of Muslims in this field, the great expansion carried out by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz, and the care that is still lavished on them by King Fahd, the Crown Prince and the Saudi Government. The General Presidency said that this project is being implemented to coincide with the Kingdom's centennial celebrations.
