The agricultural and water directorate in Taif has reported that last year it issued a number of certificates for exporting various kinds of flowers, including roses.

Every week, fresh flowers are flown to Australia, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Lebanon and the states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC); and even to the Netherlands, a country well-known for producing flowers. Fruits and vegetables are shipped to Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Japan, U.K., and France, as well as the Netherlands.
