Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General, gave a press conference in Riyadh yesterday, and announced his intention, as is his custom on the occasion of Eid, to visit the various sectors of the armed forces.

Commenting on the Iraqi threat to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Sultan said: "I do not think that it has reached the level of a threat, but it does reflect ingratitude for the favor the Kingdom at one time extended to Iraq."

Answering a question on Saudi Arabia's role in the settlement of the Lockerbie crisis, Prince Sultan stated: "The Kingdom has intervened in the matter along with other international groups that were accepted by the concerned parties." He added that Libya welcomed the initiative.
