Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz today presided over the regular weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers and highlighted the arrangements  made by the concerned governmental authorities as well as the private sector for this year's Hajj  season, declaring that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is honored to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, and reiterating the importance of mobilizing all available potentialities to ensure the comfort and safety of the pilgrims and to enable them perform their rituals in comfort and ease.

Information Minister Dr. Fuad Al-Farsi reported that the King then briefed the cabinet on developments in the Arab world, and expressed the wish that King Abdullah Al-Hussein of Jordan would successfully perform his mission of following in his father's footsteps and work for the solidarity of the Arab world.  King Fahd also congratulated Hafez Al-Assad on the occasion of his re-election as President and wished progress for Syria under his wise leadership.
The cabinet adopted a number of resolutions, including approval of implementing the resolutions adopted by the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) at its 19th session and based on the deliberations of the 17th meeting of the GCC Interior Ministers.
