Saudi Arabia and Canada Discuss Trade Relations

Minister of Commerce Osama Ibn Jafar Faqih met today in Riyadh with the Canadian Minister for International Trade who is heading a delegation of businessmen from Canada on a visit that comes within the framework of the current session of the Joint Saudi-Canadian Commission. During the meeting, there was discussion on ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the light of the two countries' desire to benefit from investment opportunities and existing prospects to establish joint ventures. The Canadian Minister expressed pleasure at visiting the Kingdom at the time of its centennial celebrations and congratulated the Kingdom, its government and people on this occasion. He also expressed his country's strong support for the Kingdom's application to join the World Trade Organization (WTO)
