Inspection tours of the Holy Sites in and near Makkah were carried out on Saturday by Interior Minister Prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz, accompanied by Governor of Makkah Province Prince Majed Bin Abdul Aziz;  yesterday by Prince Turki Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz of the Ministry of Information, Communications Minister Dr. Nasir Al-Salloum, and Minister of Industry and Electricity Dr. Hashim Abdullah Yamani; and today by PTT Minister Dr. Ali Bin Talal Al-Johani.

Meanwhile, today the General Directorate of the Civil Defense issued an appeal to all pilgrims to abide by the directives and safety rules, especially those related to prohibition of the use of natural gas in the vicinity of the Holy Sites. All cooking equipment should be non-flammable.
President of the Islamic Development Bank Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Ali, at a press conference yesterday, said that the IDB, which will soon celebrate its 25th anniversary, now has 53 member states, and has allocated more than $20 billion for financing infrastructure projects and foreign trade operations in Muslim countries. Under the sacrificial meat utilization project, arrangements are underway to utilize 440,000 head of sheep and 8,000 head of camels and cows during this year's pilgrimage season.
On Sunday, the Hajj Committee on Health met under the chairmanship of Minister of Health Dr. Osama Bin Abdulmajeed Shobokshi, and reviewed the health conditions of pilgrims who are already in the Kingdom. They reported that there are no outbreaks of any epidemic disease, and no cases of food-poisoning.
