Saudi Arabia sends relief to Kosovar refugees

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz has ordered two aircraft to fly to Tirana, the capital of Albania, with relief assistance for the refugees from Kosovo. The Ministry of Finance and National Economy has provided 120 tons of materials including tents, blankets, and foodstuffs such as rice, flour, sugar, cooking oil and milk.
Meanwhile, the emergency relief committee of the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) met today in Makkah to discuss the tragic plight of the Kosovar Muslims, and review recent activities by IIRO and by the Muslim World League (MWL). The two organizations are collecting donations in cash and in kind in cooperation with concerned ministries and establishments both within and outside the Kingdom.  The IIRO estimates the number of refugees at over 600,000.
