King Fahd orders further aid to Kosovar refugees

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz today ordered the Saudi Red Crescent Society to assist in collecting donations and to seek the services of doctors and volunteers to work on an interim basis to help provide medical treatment to the Kosovar refugees, and in particular to vaccinate them in the face of the spread of certain diseases linked with shortages of foodstuffs and medicines. The Society's Chairman Dr. Adulrahman Al-Suweilem reported that the Saudi Red Crescent had already established health centers and field hospitals, sent doctors and nurses, and provided medicine. On Saturday, King Fahd issued an order for 2,000 tons of local dates packaged in the Al-Hasa date  factory to be sent to the Kosovar refugees.
