Kingdom Celebrates 'Fight Against TB' Day

Minister of Health Dr. Osama Abdulmajid Shobokshi today affirmed that the incidence of tuberculosis in Saudi Arabia is low, adding that the Kingdom is working to check the spread of TB throughout the world, and prevent its influx into the country. He noted that about one quarter of the eight million people around the world affected by TB die from it. The Kingdom will observe tomorrow the International Day for Combating Tuberculosis, which the World Health Organization (WHO) celebrated on March 24. Saudi Arabia postponed the celebration due to the Hajj season.
