In Washington DC yesterday Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi delivered a speech entitled 'Geopolitics of Energy and Saudi Oil Policy' at the conference organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) of Georgetown University, in collaboration with the Financial Times.  The participants in the two-day conference, on the theme "The Geopolitics of Energy into the 21st Century", included representatives from both government and the private sector from the United States and overseas.

On Tuesday, Minister Al-Naimi was hosted by the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council in honor of his current visit to Washington DC. Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated the Kingdom's concern to enhance cooperation in the field of investment projects, highlighted the efforts it is making to stabilize the oil market, and praised the strong relations that exist between Saudi and American businesses. He made special reference to the mining sphere, where regulations are being revised to ensure optimum investment.
