A number of Saudi youths will join the fifth overseas work camp for young people from
member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) which opens tomorrow in Bahamdoon, a
rural area in southern Lebanon. Previous camps have been held in Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and
Egypt. A total of 60 young men from the GCC, plus 40 from the host country, will embark on
a number of activities over the two weeks of the camp, including rehabilitation of
utilities in the area that were damaged during the Lebanese civil war as well as planting
seedlings, paving roads, and rebuilding schools and hospitals.
