A report issued today by the Saudi Joint Committee for the Relief of Kosovar Refugees

stated that the amount of cash donations collected has exceeded SR 50 million (U.S. $ 13.33

million), and that the total value of relief materials so far provided by the committee has

reached SR 170.7 million (U.S. $ 45.52 million). The committee sponsors about 50,000

refugees and supplies over 150,000 meals daily. The committee operates a hospital, 15

health centers, and 15 ambulances, benefiting some 16,000 Kosovars.  It has repatriated

about 50,000 refugees from Albania to their hometowns in Kosovo. It has also distributed

copies of the Holy Qur'an, and books on Islam.
