Prince Bandar honored by Kuwait

Ambassador to the United States of America Prince Bandar Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz was

received today in Kuwait by the Emir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, who decorated him

with the Order of Kuwait, First Class, in recognition of his efforts in defending the

interests of the State of Kuwait at Arab and international gatherings. The medal and sash,

the State's highest honor, was awarded to Prince Bandar also for his concern to enhance and

strengthen the historical ties between the two sisterly countries of Saudi Arabia and


Prince Bandar is currently on a three-day visit to Kuwait, which he said is not an

official, but a friendly one.  Earlier, he had met in London with Kuwaiti Crown Prince and

Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah to inquire after his health.
