KACST organizes seminar on scientific research

Governor of Riyadh Province Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz today inaugurated a seminar, held in the Intercontinental Hotel in Riyadh, on the planning and managing of scientific research, which was organized by the King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). Speaking on the occasion, Prince Salman pointed out that conferences and seminars pertaining to scientific research have proliferated in the Kingdom as a result of the generous support of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz.

President of KACST Dr. Salih Ibn Abdulrahman Al-Athel reported that over $500 million (U.S. $ 134 million) has been spent on scientific research projects throughout the Kingdom in various fields such as engineering, medicine, agriculture and education. He pointed out that this seminar is concerned about four aspects: the priorities of research at the national level, the preparation of research proposals, the implementation and follow-up of research projects, and the utilization of the results of this research.
