King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah give Ramadan speech

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdu Aziz, and Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz tonight offered their congratulations to the nation on the commencement of the Holy Month of Ramadan. In a joint speech, read on their behalf on the Saudi media by Minister of Information Dr. Fouad Ibn Abdulsalam Al-Farsi they recalled the importance of this, the holiest month of the year, during which Muslims are provided with the rare opportunity of true repentance and forgiveness by God. They gave thanks to God that the Saudi society is governed by Islamic Shari'ah [Law] in all things, thus rendering it secure, and renewed the commitment of the Saudi leadership to put all the resources of the country at the disposal of the Two Holy Mosques, and of the other holy sites of Islam, which are in the care of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They expressed the wish that all Muslims complete their ritual successfully and crown their efforts with God's acceptance and satisfaction.
