SAA reported as one of the best airlines

Director-General of Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) Dr. Khalid Ibn Bakr has reported that recent statistics indicate SAA as being in the top thirty airline companies affiliated to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in terms of transportation of passengers, and ranks number twenty-four for air freight.   During 1997, SAA planes carried more than 12.6 million passengers to a total of 77 destinations, both domestic and international.
Dr. Bakr added that the new fleet of Boeing and McDonnell-Douglas planes currently being introduced comes within the framework of ongoing efforts to modernize the airline and improve its services.
