The General Directorate of Passports reports that 106,292 non-Saudis who were in violation of residence permit regulations have voluntarily left the Kingdom, and 5,402 were deported.  Following a country-wide campaign since the end of the pilgrimage season three months ago, a total of 1,075 work sites have been inspected, 386 Saudis imprisoned, 1,448 fined, and 700 stripped of the right to recruit foreign laborers.  In addition, the status of 70,004 expatriates was rectified in accordance with the regulations.
