UN report praises Kingdom on human rights

The United Nations Committee on Human Rights has highlighted in a recent report the achievements realized by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the area of human rights, praising its effective cooperation with the international organization in this respect. Saudi Arabia is a signatory of three international agreements, on torture, on apartheid, and on the rights of children. The Kingdom has issued a special report on the measures it has taken to implement the latter agreement, reflecting its deep concern for taking care of children that goes beyond what is specified in it. This care arises from Islamic Shari'ah which recognized human rights fourteen centuries ago.
