Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz today received a cable from President of Algeria Lamine Zeroual expressing his appreciation for the warm welcome given him during his state visit to the Kingdom from October 7 to 9, and also his satisfaction over its positive outcome, which includes plans for a November meeting of the Joint Saudi-Algerian Economic Commission.

In a joint communiqué issued yesterday by Saudi Arabia and Algeria, the two countries rejected the settlement policy being adopted by the current Israeli government and called on the international community, and notably the co-sponsors of the peace process, to work to halt such settlements, stressing the importance of the commitment of all parties to the principles agreed upon.

The communiqué reiterated the determination of the two countries to reject violence and terrorism, and to enhance Arab solidarity, as well as working to develop bilateral relations.
