Prince Sultan receives cable from U.S. President Clinton

Prince Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General, has received a cable from United States President Bill Clinton congratulating him on the success of his recent knee surgery in Geneva and wishing him a speedy recovery.  With a reference to his own recent leg operation, President Clinton expressed his awareness of how crucial recuperation is.   Recalling Prince Sultan's visit to the U.S. earlier this year, he went on to state that he shares Prince Sultan's views on the importance of the friendship that exists between the two countries.

For his part, Prince Sultan expressed his appreciation for the President's good wishes and for those of Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who also sent a cable, as did a large number of world leaders and statesmen.
