Prince Salman signs Riyadh-Paris Charter

Governor of Riyadh Province Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, who is on an official visit to France, today signed, together with the Mayor of Paris, a charter for cooperation and friendship between the two capital cities of Riyadh and Paris, for the purpose of dedicating ties of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of the two countries.   Articles in the agreement cover exchange of data in the field of municipal affairs and urban planning; cooperation in the training of manpower in administrative and technical areas;  and the enhancement of economic ties.

While in Paris, Prince Salman met with French Foreign Minister Herve de Charrette to discuss bilateral relations and aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries as well as the peace process in the Middle East, concerning which they have identical viewpoints as to the importance of achieving a just and lasting peace in accordance with UN security council resolutions 242 and 338 within the framework of the Madrid Accord.
