King Fahd congratulates new Iranian President

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz has sent a cable of congratulations to Mohammed Khatimi on the occasion of his victory today in the presidential elections held in Iran. In his cable, King Fahd added, "On this occasion, I would like to reiterate the importance of enhancing relations between our fraternal countries as well as serving the causes of the Muslim nation." For his part, Crown Prince Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard today sent a similar cable of congratulations to Mohammed Khatimi.
