King Fahd donates to U.K.'s Oxford Islamic Studies Center

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz has donated twenty million pounds sterling (over U.S. $ 30 million) to the Islamic Studies Center at Oxford University in England. The announcement was made in London by Prince Bandar Ibn Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the United States, at a reception held by Prince Charles of the United Kingdom, which was also attended by a number of Arab and Islamic diplomats, officials from Oxford University, and businessmen from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

Prince Bandar stated that this donation comes within the framework of King Fahd's constant efforts in the service of Islam throughout the world. Prince Charles expressed appreciation for the donation, and praised the significant role being played by King Fahd. It is worth mentioning that Prince Charles recently delivered a lecture highlighting the teachings of Islam and underscoring the noble values it advocates.
