Royal decrees on ministerial and top-level appointments
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz today issued a number of royal decrees in accordance with Article 58 of the Basic System of Government.

Decree number A/90 extends for a period of four years, as from 3/3/1418 H (July 7, 1997) the appointments, at ministerial level, of Prince Abdulrahman Ibn Abdul Aziz as Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation; Prince Badr Ibn Abdul Aziz as Deputy Commander of the National Guard; Prince Mamdouh Ibn Abdul Aziz as Chairman of the Bureau of Strategic Studies; Prince Ahmed Ibn Abdul Aziz as Deputy Minister of the Interior; Prince Faisal Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz as Chairman of the General Presidency for Youth Welfare; Prince Turki Al-Faisal as Chairman of General Intelligence; Prince Fahd Ibn Abdullah Ibn Muhammad Al-Saud as Assistant Minister of Defense for Civil Aviation; Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Jubair as Chairman of the Shura Council; Dr. Abdullah Ibn Omer Naseef as Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council; Abdulaziz Ibn Abdulmohsen Al-Teweijri as Assistant Commander of the National Guard; Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Abdullah Ibn Subayyel as Chairman of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques; Dr. Sheikh Abdulaziz Ibn Abdulrahman Al-Saeed as Chairman of the Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and Condemnation of Vice; and Hamad Ibn Saud Al-Sayyari as Governor of the Saudi Monetary Agency.


King Fahd also issued royal decree number A/94 for the extension for four years, as from 3/3/1418 H (July 7, 1997) of the appointments, at the rank of Minister, of Prince Salman Ibn Abdul Aziz as Governor of Riyadh Province; Prince Majed Ibn Abdul Aziz as Governor of Makkah Province; Prince Abdulmajeed Ibn Abdul Aziz as Governor of Madinah Province; Prince Miqren Ibn Abdul Aziz as Governor of Hail Province; Prince Muhammad Ibn Saud Ibn Abdul Aziz as Governor of Al-Baha Province; Prince Khalid Al-Faisal as Governor of Asir Province; Prince Faisal Ibn Bandar Ibn Abdul Aziz as Governor of Qassim Province; Prince Muhammad Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz as Governor of the Eastern Province; Prince Fahd Ibn Sultan Ibn Abdul Aziz as Governor of Tabuk Province; Muhammad Ibn Turki Al-Sudairi as Governor of Gizan Province; and Sultan Ibn Abdulrahman Al-Sudairi as Governor of Al-Jouf Province.
In addition, King Fahd issued royal decree number A/65 for the extension for four years, as from 3/3/1418 H (July 7, 1997) of the appointments, at the highest grade, of Prince Sattam Ibn Abdul Aziz as Deputy Governor of Riyadh Province; Prince Saud Ibn Abdulmohsen as Deputy Governor of Makkah Province; and Prince Saud Ibn Nayef Ibn Abdul Aziz as Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province.
King Fahd also issued royal decree number A/66 for the extension for four years, as from 3/3/1418 H (July 7, 1997) of the appointments, at ministerial grade, of Sheikh Abdulaziz Ibn Abdullah Ibn Baz as Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chairman of the Committee of Senior Ulema [religious scholars] and Chairman of the Scientific Research and Ifta [guidance] Department; Sheikh Saleh Ibn Muhammad Al-Luhaidan as Chairman of the Higher Judicial Council; and Sheikh Naser Ibn Hamad Al-Rashed as Chairman of the Board of Grievances; and of the appointments, at the highest grade, of Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Saleh Al-Othayman, Sheikh Abdulaziz Ibn Abdullah Al-Alshaikh, Dr. Sheikh Saleh Ibn Fawzan Al-Fawzan, Dr. Sheikh Saleh Ibn Abdulrahman Al-Atram, Dr. Sheikh Abdulwahab Ibn Ibrahim Abu Suliman, Dr. Sheikh Bakr Ibn Abdullah Abu Zaid and Sheikh Abdullah Ibn Abdulrahman Al-Ghedayyan, as members of the Committee of Senior Ulema [religious scholars].
In addition, King Fahd issued royal decree number A/67 for the extension for four years, as from 3/3/1418 H (July 7, 1997) of the appointments, at ministerial grade, of Muhammad Ibn Abdullah Al-Nowaiser as Chief of Royal Protocol and Chairman of the Court of the Council of Ministers; Muhammad Ibn Abdulrahman Al-Alsheikh as Chief of Royal Protocol; Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Anqari as Special Advisor to the King; and as Advisors at the Royal Court, Sheikh Abdulaziz Ibn Muhammad Ibn Ibrahim Al-Alsheikh, Sheikh Rashed Ibn Saleh Ibn Khonain, Sheikh Naser Ibn Abdulaziz Al-Shatari,  Sheikh Abdulrahman Ibn Hamza Al-Marzooki, Ali Ibn Hussein Ibn Mosallam, and Abdulwahab Ibn Ahmad Abduwasie;  Abdulaziz Ibn Abdullah Al-Salem as Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers;  Abdullah Ibn Naser Ibn Ammar as Chief of Private Royal Affairs; and Naser Ibn Hamad Al-Rajehi as Chief of the Court of the Crown Prince.
King Fahd also issued royal decree number A/68 for the extension for four years, as from 3/3/1418 H (July 7, 1997) of the appointments, at the highest grade, of Prince Muhammad Ibn Saad Ibn Abdul Aziz as Advisor at the Ministry of Interior;  Prince Saud Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz as Deputy Chairman of General Intelligence;  Prince Sultan Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdul Aziz as Deputy Chairman of the Presidency of Youth Welfare;  Prince Abdullah Ibn Faisal Ibn Turki as Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu;  Abdulaziz Al-Thunayyan as Saudi Ambassador to Spain;  Muhammad Ibn Abdullah Al-Suqair as Chairman of the Saudi Development Fund;  Sheikh Abdulaziz Ibn Abdullah Al-Faleh as Deputy Chairman of the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque; Muhammad Ibn Abdulaziz Al-Deraibi and Dr. Abdulrahman Ibn Ibrahim Al-Jammaz as Advisors at the Interior Ministry; Dr. Saleh Ibn Abdulrahman Al-Athel as President of King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology;  Saleh Ibn Muhammad Ibn Soleiman as Director-General of the General Organization for Grain Silos and Flour Mills;  Saad Ibn Naser Al-Sedairi as Secretary-General of the National Security Council;  Fahd Ibn Abdulaziz Al-Maamar as Mayor of the City of Taif;  Abdulaziz Ibn Abdulrahman Al-Husayen as Mayor of the Holy City of Madinah;  Dr. Sheikh Saleh Ibn Abdullah Ibn Humaid as Deputy Chairman of the General Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques; Dr. Fahd Ibn Abdulrahman Balghunaim as Director of the Organization for Saline Water Conversion;  Dr. Ali Ibn Abdulrahman Al-Khalaf as Chairman of Civil Aviation; Muhammad Ibn Suliman Al-Dhalaan as Head of the General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training;  Abdulrahman Ibn Ibrahim Abu Haymed as Undersecretary for the National Guard;  and Dr. Hamoud Ibn Abdulaziz Al-Badr as Secretary-General of the Shura Council.
In addition, King Fahd issued royal decree number A/69 for the extension for four years, as from 3/3/1418 H (July 7, 1997) of the appointments, at the highest grade, of Muhammad Ibn Saleh Al-Athel, Mansour Ibn Muhammad Al-Khereiji, Dr. Majiduddin Kazi, Mustafa Ibn Kuhammad Idris, Dr. Hamed Ibn Abdullah Al-Khuweiter, Ibrahim Ibn Ibrahim Al-Suweilim, and Faisal Ibn Hikmat Al-Asali. 
Royal decree number A/70 appoints, at the highest grade, Dr. Abdulrahman Ibn Abdulaziz Al-Suweilem as Chairman of the Saudi Red Crescent Society.
Royal decree number A/71 appoints, at the highest grade, Dr. Abdulaziz Ibn Muhammad Ibn Ayaf Al-Meqrin as Mayor of Riyadh City;  Dr. Fouad Ibn Muhammad Ghazali as Mayor of the Holy City of Makkah; Dr. Nazir Ibn Hasan Naseef as Mayor of Jeddah City;  and Ibrahim Ibn Suleiman Belghanem as Mayor of Dammam City.
