Saudi Arabia intensifies medical aid to Bosnia

The Supreme Commission for the Collection of Donations for the Muslims of Bosnia-Herzegovina has over the last six months intensified its health activities, allocating SR 1,125,000 (U.S. $ 300,000) for the purchase of medical equipment for Bosnian hospitals and medical centers. In addition, the Commission is operating two clinics, the Riyadh Clinic in Sarajevo and another in Ziuitsa; has provided eye glasses, hearing aids, and surgical footwear to those in need; and takes care of patients outside Bosnia who require treatment. The Commission is now calling on medical organizations and non-governmental hospitals to donate medical equipment to the project of Bantishko Hospital. Such support comes within the context of the Kingdom's policy aimed at consolidating the position of the Bosnian Muslims.
