SAA exonerated in last year's mid-air collision

Director-General of Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAA) Dr. Khaled Bakr held a press conference yesterday to announce that SAA had been completely exonerated in the mid-air collision of its Boeing 747 with a Kazakh cargo plane over Indian airspace last November.  Recorded data reveals that the Kazakh crew did not abide by instructions from New Delhi air traffic control to maintain a level of 15,000 feet, but descended to 14,000 feet, the same level given to the Saudi airliner.  Both planes were flying in cloudy conditions with low visibility.
