KACST announces advances in solar energy

King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) has announced that a joint research program with the German organization for space research has resulted in a design for the manufacture of hydrogen using solar energy. The first hydrogen production station was established in the "Sun Village" near Riyadh, with a capacity of 350 kilowatts, the second in the German city of Stuttgart with ten kilowatts, and the third, with two kilowatts, in the Jeddah-based King Abdulaziz University.
