Kingdom praised for success in anti-drug campaign

The Riyadh-based daily Al-Jazeerah today reported that Vice Chairman of the United Nations agency for the control of drugs, Major General Muhammad Abbas Mansour has praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as one of the most successful countries in the world in terms of combating drugs.  The government of Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz has realized brilliant success not only in fighting the drug menace and checking the smuggling of drugs into the Kingdom, but also in the efforts made to rehabilitate addicts and prepare them to rejoin society.   Major General Mansour warned against those countries which assist drug dealers and called for closer cooperation among members of the international community in the launching of anti-drug campaigns.
