Saudia begins special flights for 1416 Hajj season

Saudia’s first special flight for this year’s Hajj season arrived today at the Pilgrimage Terminal of Jeddah International Airport, carrying 470 pilgrims from Lahore, Pakistan.  They were welcomed by Director of Saudia Airlines Dr. Khaled Abdullah Bakr, who stated that the national carrier, as in years past, is attentive to the comfort of pilgrims, adding that 228,000 travelers are expected to arrive by Saudia this year, an increase of 49,000 over last year’s figures.

Meanwhile, Minister of Pilgrimage Affairs Dr. Mahmoud Bin Muhammad Safar has been holding meetings with the heads of delegations of pilgrims from countries all over the world to facilitate the smooth and comfortable running of the Hajj season.
