King Fahd calls for solution to Kashmir problem

The Government of Saudi Arabia is following with extreme concern the reports regarding the kidnapping of a number of American and European tourists in Kashmir. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz renews his denunciation of all aspects and forms of terrorism and condemns all acts of kidnapping whatever the motives. It is hoped that those abducted will be released very soon because keeping them captured is a violation of the dictates of the Islamic religion and will harm the cause of the Muslim people of Kashmir. The settlement of the Kashmir question should be in accordance with U.N. resolutions, in order to restore security and stability to Kashmir and to enable its Muslim people to practice their legitimate rights.
