Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, Governor of Riyadh Province and Chairman of the Commission, said that this figure includes jewelry and donations-in-kind. The cash amount collected in the campaign, which was organized by the Commission in cooperation with Saudi Television, totalled more than SR 430 million (about U.S. 115 million). In addition, more than twenty kilograms of gold were received, worth nearly SR 1 million (about U.S. $300,000), and more than SR 20 million (about U.S. $6 million) in other donations including foodstuffs and medicines.
