As of this morning, the total value of all donations received by the Supreme Commission for the Collection of Donations for Bosnian Muslims during the recent nationwide fund-raising campaign that was launched on Friday, August 11, 1995, reached SR 451,406,213 (more than U.S. $120 million).

Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, Governor of Riyadh Province and Chairman of the Commission, said that this figure includes jewelry and donations-in-kind. The cash amount collected in the campaign, which was organized by the Commission in cooperation with Saudi Television, totalled more than SR 430 million (about U.S. 115 million). In addition, more than twenty kilograms of gold were received, worth nearly SR 1 million (about U.S. $300,000), and more than SR 20 million (about U.S. $6 million) in other donations including foodstuffs and medicines.

Prince Salman thanked all those who contributed to this successful fund-raising campaign sponsored by Custodian of the two Holy Mosques Kind Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.
