30,000 tents provided for pilgrims

The Saudi Civil Defense has launched a multi-pronged strategy to keep pilgrims safe from fire and rainfall at the holy sites, a senior official in charge of Hajj affairs said Tuesday in Jiddah.


The official, Sulaiman Al-Omar, told the Saudi Gazette that 30,000 new tents have been provided at the holy sites.

Additionally, fire-fighting equipment have been placed on roads, bridges and pilgrims’ residences in Makkah.
